Morning Star Uganda

Nabukima is a remote village in the Busoga district of eastern Uganda which we first visited in February 2011.

When we first arrived they gave us a typical Ugandan welcome which is unlike any other welcome we have ever experienced!  Their love and joy for us coming to visit them no words or camera can ever express or capture.

Their homes are grass huts with mud walls and floors.  They have no electricity and no running water.  After visiting each and every house they wanted to show us their well.

After walking down a long dusty path we arrived at the watering hole and nothing could have prepared us for what we were about to see.  They showed us the milky white water that they shared with the livestock and then they told us how people from other villages would walk for about 2 miles to get water to take back to their villages.

We returned to our homes with a burden not only to find a way to give them clean water, but with a burden to share the LIVING WATER with the villages surrounding Nabukima, all of whom practice witchcraft.

After lots of research and praying the body of Christ all over the world came together to get clean water to this community!

1 John 3:17-18 “But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him?  Little children, let us not love in word or in talk but in deed and in truth.”  ESV
